Christina Nowak

Christina is a Registered Physiotherapist who graduated from McMaster University in 2013. Seeing the power of exercise for prevention, she returned to start her PhD in 2015 at McMaster in the School of Rehabilitation Science looking at the use of strength training to prevent transitions into worsening mobility disability. In 2016, she opened STAVE OFF, her clinic-gym with her fiance Nick which aimed to embody the exercise is medicine construct.

Sarah Greenhagen

Sarah is a Physical Therapist who specializes in the process of aging and is interested in bringing health and wellness to the masses. She uses a multi-factorial approach to build a comprehensive picture of influences seniors have on the way they move, eat, sleep and socialize to produce effective solutions. She has been working to develop programs to target underserved aspects of care for seniors especially in communities with limited resources.

Becca Jordre
Healthy Aging Team
Becca graduated from Duke University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2002. She is currently a tenured associated professor of physical therapy at the University of South Dakota where she is engaged in teaching, research and service with a focus on healthy aging. She developed the Senior Athlete Fitness Exam (SAFE) while conducting research on National Senior Games athletes. She hopes to expand her wellness efforts to include more active seniors and use her findings to motivate sedentary adults toward a more active lifestyle.
